So as of right now I am almost in paradise with my room. Tonight Daddy installed my new ceiling fan. I ordered a remote controlled one. So I can change the fan speed, turn the lights on or off. The scary buttons though are the random fan speed and random light on/off timer!! I am still absolutely thrilled with my purchase. I keep finding little things I need here and there but luckily most of them are cheap! My final big purchase will be another curtain set up, this time to cover my closet. My bedroom is small and oddly shaped so I took the closet doors off years ago. I am growing tired of staring into my closet whenever I lay in bed. I don’t face the other way because the wall behind me is very colorful and can be a bit much some (most) days. Out of love for the painters, time needed and obviously money I was never able to bring myself to change the paint job. So a new set of curtains and curtain rod rig like we did for the window and I’m golden! Mom and I had to come up with our own mounting supports for the curtain rod. We used 2 cast iron railing mounting hoop things and ran the rod through 1 on each end of the window. It doesn’t budge, all! We have a spare hoop thing so I just need 1 more a rod and a pair of floor length curtains. I’ve got to think about the color choice though. The surrounding of the window is painted blue so I did blue curtains. It worked out well and isn’t jarring to look at when the window frame is revealed. Unfortunately the closet will not have such an easy solution. That door frame is pink, not a subtle pale pink either. An obnoxious bright in your face vibrant pink. So a tad bit more thinking to do for that last step.
