So most people who know me know that I have never liked most breakfast foods much less eating anything shortly after waking up. When I did eat breakfast it was always something super sweet and decadent. I still don’t like a savory breakfast. Recently though with my diet changes I decided I did need to eat breakfast whether I want to or not. I began a process of trial and error to finally find foods I like for breakfast that aren’t too unhealthy. I discovered I actually do like some oatmeal. I don’t like quaker oats but I am in love with Mccann’s steel cut Irish oats, especially the vanilla honey. The texture is way better and so is the flavor. I still like my pastries and baked goods of course but now I accompany everything with fruit that is in season. My favorite just happens to be in season now, Peaches!! Its funny I detested peaches growing up but now I am constantly eating or drinking something that has peach in it. I also have cherries that are quite nice. Its amazing how I missed out on something so wonderful all these years.
